Thailand, Kingdom. A lot of Mixed Thai Awards

1.Bangkok’s 150th Anniversary as Capital. In bronze, obverse shows double portrait, reverse shows inscription, not on striped ribbon, inclusive of suspension 40.4 mm (h) x 31.2 mm (w), extremely fine condition. 

Footnote: The medal was instituted in 1932 and commemorated the 150th anniversary of the Chakri Dynasty and the foundation of Bangkok as capital of Siam. 

2. An Order of the White Elephant, III Period. In silver, obverse shows elephant surrounded by ring of beads and flower petals, reverse shows emblem, not on striped ribbon, inclusive of suspension 66.2 mm (h) x 35.6 mm (w), very fine condition. 

Footnote: Instituted in 1861. The Order was created by King Mongkut, and may be conferred upon national and foreign citizens for extraordinary civil and military service to the Kingdom of Thailand. The Orders may be awarded to both men (Knight) and women (Dame).

3. The Most Noble Order of the Crown of Thailand, III Period (1941- Issue). In silver gilt with blue and red enamels, inclusive of suspension 55 mm (h) x 32.5 mm (w), on original ribbon with rosette, evidence of slight scratches on reverse, very fine condition. 

Footnote: The Order was instituted on 29 December 1869 by King Rama V of The Kingdom of Siam (now Thailand) for Thais, the royal family, governmental employees, and foreign dignitaries for their outstanding services to the Kingdom of Thailand.

4. Rama VI Coronation Medal. Type II “Portrait”, obverse shows portrait of Rama VI, on original ribbon, inclusive of loop 40.6 mm (h) x 31.2 mm (w), very fine condition.

Footnote: The medal was instituted in 1911.

5. Rama VII Coronation Medal, obverse portrait of Rama VII, on original ribbon, inclusive of loop 40.3 mm (h) x 31.2 mm (w), extremely fine condition. 

Footnote: Prajadhipok (November 8, 1893 - May 30, 1941), also known as Rama VII, was the seventh monarch of Siam of the Chakri dynasty. He was the last absolute monarch and the first constitutional monarch of the country. His reign was a turbulent time for Siam due to political and social changes during the Revolution of 1932. He is to date the only Siamese monarch of the Chakri Dynasty to abdicate. His coronation took place on February 25, 1926.
