Chlorophytum comosum 'Bonnie' - Curly Spider Plant

The 70s are back, and with it, the whimsical Spider Plant! You'll never spend a dull moment with this pet-safe pal, as it continually shoots out new leaves and even baby plants that dangle on long stems like appendages, hence the plant's common name "Spider Plant." For best results display in a brightly-lit interior with plenty of 3D space, as well as space below for the babies to dangle. This is a great candidate for a macrame planter or taller plant stand. 

The Bonnie variety of Spider Plant is a curly variety that can be slightly harder to find.

Spider plants are easy peasy - tolerant of both under and over watering.  They prefer bright gentle light but will perform just fine in a variety of lighting conditions in the home.  They may burn or bleach in a hot window. As a bonus, Spider Plants are totally pet safe - however I've noticed that kitties love to play with the leaves! So you may want to place it somewhere out of reach of curious critters.
