Portugal, Kingdom. A Military Order of Christ, Grand Officer Set in Case, by Joao Anjos

Instituted 1319. Type II. (1918 -). A Grand Officers Set, comprising a neck badge, in silver gilt with red and white enamels, obverse mirrors the reverse, marked with a silver mark denoting Lisbon manufacture between 1886-1936 on the integral ring and the loop, obverse of the suspension loop is decorated with floral patterns, measures 43.3 mm (w) x 65.9mm (h), weighs 31.3 grams including ribbon, worn on a full length red neck ribbon, enamels intact, scattered gilt wear, in extremely fine condition. The Star of the Order, in silver gilt, clusters of three rays of alternating lengths, the obverse medallion feature a cross in white in red enamels on a white enamelled field, the reverse bears a vertical pin marked with a silver mark denoting Lisbon manufacture between 1886-1936, makers mark in the center JOAO ANJOS LISBOA, measures 71.4mm (w) x 71.4 mm (h), weighs 49.9 grams, residue on the obverse medallion, hinge and clasp functional, in very fine condition. 

Accompanied by a miniature, in silver gilt and enamels on a red ribbon, a boutonniere with cross device in the center and a ribbon bar with the silver and enamel cross device, all in very fine condition. 

Contained in original case of issue, a black leatherette exterior, with gilt designs on the lid, interior presents a velvet medal bed, with silk lid marked JOAO ANJOS LISBOA, measures 120 mm (w) x 245 mm (l) x 50 mm (d), light wear, clasp and hinge functional, in very fine condition.
