A richly illustrated volume documenting the poster designs of Pablo Picasso, authored by Christopher Czwiklitzer and published by Random House in 1971. This important reference work catalogues Picasso’s prolific graphic output and serves as both a visual archive and scholarly text, charting his influence on modern poster design.
The book contains full-page reproductions, including iconic exhibition posters such as the Tate Gallery, 1960, alongside rare and lesser-known examples from throughout Picasso’s career. Each poster is presented with historical context and detailed annotations, making this an invaluable resource for collectors, curators, and scholars alike.
Condition
The book remains complete and intact with all plates present. The dust jacket shows noticeable edge wear, creasing, and minor tears, particularly at the spine and edges (see photographs). The cover has scuffing consistent with age and use, though the interior pages remain bright, clean, and well-preserved. A handsome reference copy with strong shelf presence.
