Mesotrione provides post and preemergence control of annual broadleaf weeds in corn and several other crops.  Mesotrione is a selective herbicide. It is absorbed through the roots, leaves, and shoots of plants, and represses photosynthesis in susceptible plants. It is the same active ingredient found in MesoTryOne 4L, Cavallo 4SC, Bellum, Meso Star, Tenacity, Instigate, Meristo, Risicore and Callisto.  Why pay more for a brand name?  Mesotrione is a selective herbicide. It is absorbed through the roots, leaves, and shoots of plants, and represses photosynthesis in susceptible plants.  It effectively targets over 50 weeds such as chickweed, clover, crabgrass, dandelion, broadleaf weeds, annual bluegrass, henbit, knotweed, lambsquarters, purslane, thistle, nutsedge, wild carrot and more.  Susceptible weeds turn white before they die, creating a highly visible treatment effect for 2 to 3 weeks following application.  Read and follow labeled directions.
