A Prussian 1895 pattern EM/NCO’s buckle, constructed of gilded and silvered brass, the obverse bearing a central raised crown, situated within a ribbed ring bearing an inscription of “GOTT MIT UNS” (“GOD WITH US”) with laurel branches, the reverse with a loop and attachment claws on a functional roller, unmarked, measuring 62 mm (w) x 46 mm (h), in extremely fine condition.
2. A Prussian 1895 pattern EM/NCO’s buckle, constructed of gilded brass, the obverse bearing a central raised crown, situated within a ribbed ring bearing an inscription of “GOTT MIT UNS” (“GOD WITH US”) with laurel branches, the reverse attachment claws on a functional roller, the latter retaining an original brown leather strap, unmarked, measuring 58 mm (w) x 48 mm (h), in extremely fine condition.
3. A Saxon EM/NCO’s buckle, constructed of magnetic steel, the obverse bearing a central raised crown, situated within a ribbed ring bearing an inscription of “PROVIDENTIAE MEMOR” (“REMEMBER PROVIDENCE”), the reverse with a bar and attachment claws on a functional roller, unmarked, measuring 62 mm (w) x 48 mm (h), demonstrating loss of finish and minor surface oxidation throughout the base metal, in very fine condition.
4. A Saxon EM/NCO’s buckle, constructed of magnetic steel, the obverse bearing a central raised crown, situated within a ribbed ring bearing an inscription of “PROVIDENTIAE MEMOR” (“REMEMBER PROVIDENCE”), the reverse with a attachment claws on a functional roller, unmarked, measuring 62 mm (w) x 48 mm (h), demonstrating loss of finish and minor surface oxidation throughout the base metal, in very fine condition.
