General Motors GM-45859 Driveshaft & Hub Remover/Installer

Applications: GMT 900 with HDSC C/K Trucks Silverado/Sierra, Malibu, XTS, Buick Encore

The output flanges on the 9.25" HDCS axle are retained to the differential side gears by a circlip, and very high removal force is required to compress the circlip and remove the flange from the differential for seal service. The bolt circle diameter for the flange is also very large, and existing removers such as GM-24420-C Balancer Remover and GM45019 Pinion Cartridge Remover do not fit. GM45859 bolts to the output flange, and is used with GM02619-A Slide Hammer to unseat and remove the output flange. Unapproved methods will result in damage to the axle housing or the output flange.
