Company warrants to the user during the warranty period that the Sauna Cabin will maintain its structural integrity. The factory-installed components (i.e., heater controls, power supply, electrical wiring, and audio system) will be free from defects in material or workmanship. This limited warranty shall not apply to any display model unless expressly agreed by Finnmark Designs in writing at the time of purchase or to any Sauna installed more than six months after the delivery date.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does the Sauna have Removable Feet?
Yes. All Finnmark Designs saunas are built with screw in removable feet for unblanced floors. The dimensions of the feet (for all models) is 3" tall by 2" wide. |
Should I replace my Outlet for the Sauna?
Yes. We recommend giving your sauna a fresh outlet, commercial grade if possible (grey color). Many electricians will say that an average build grade outlet can lose up to 10% of it's amperage per year; loose wires, degrading connections. Your new sauna from Finnmark Designs is an investment both financially and for your health. Limit down time by giving your sauna a fresh outlet. |
Are there any plastics or glues in the sauna?
There are some plastics in the unit (specifically in the accessory outlet, screw covers and controller), but plastic material doesn’t off gas until the ambient temperature reaches 212 degrees, which is quite a bit higher than our saunas’ top temperatures. All saunas are made with some amount of glue. It's impossible (regardless of what a competitor may tell you) to construct a sauna without glue. The difference between brands is where is the glue used and the type of glue used. Finnmark Designs constructs it's infrared saunas with very little glue within the sauna's cabin. This glue is located behind the cedar tounge and groove slats to hold them in place. The glue used is non-toxic (like most glues). However, our glue goes a step further and is non-toxic up to 250 degrees. Many brands use low grade glue that may be non-toxic when the sauna heats past 120 degrees. Finnmark Designs contacted an environmental testing facility and spoke with an environmental biologist in regards to testing our sauna for VOC's and any off-gassing material. After examining the interior of our saunas, the biologist did not recommend a full test as the material used was comprised of Western Canadian Cedar and metal components. |
Are Infrared Saunas safe to use?
The American Journal of Medicine conducted a meta-review of all the studies on sauna use and concluded that sauna use is safe and has therapeutic value. Infrared heat is so safe, hospitals use similar heaters to warm newborns. On the other hand, sweating in a sauna can be used to excess, especially if you don’t replace lost fluid and become dehydrated. You could risk fainting and injury. Be sure you drink water before, during, and after sauna use. Using your sauna 30-45 minutes a day is plenty. |
