DESCRIPTION
This listing is for one cutting of Amelie dragon fruit. The cutting is approximately 12" unless stated otherwise. Each cutting is made to order and is non-refundable. Please note that the fruit is not included with the cutting purchase.
Mayumi is proud to offer the stunning Amelie Dragon Fruit πΈπΏ, a rare hybrid acquired from Southern California in 2022 alongside other unique varieties. This self-sterile beauty is a cross of Hylocereus undatus and Hylocereus stenopterus, further hybridized with Hylocereus guatemalensis, created by crossing Connie Mayer with G1.
Amelie produces beautiful pink flowers and vibrant green skin that ripens to a rich orange, unveiling bright purple, tender flesh inside. The fruit averages about 1 pound in weight and boasts a complex flavor profile with luscious notes of coconut and lychee, slightly softer in texture compared to Riona. The sugar content (Brix) ranges from 18 to 21, influenced by climate, nutrients, and plant maturity πβ¨.
This exceptional variety is ideal for growers seeking exciting flavors and gorgeous fruit. Treat this tropical treasure with well-draining soil, acclimate gradually to full sun, and water when the top soil dries. Enjoy growing a piece of edible art that delights with every bite! ππ±π
