What is the difference between a 150# and 300# flange?
150# flanges are rated for lower pressures and are the standard for most commercial water and HVAC applications. 300# flanges have thicker walls and are rated for higher pressures and temperatures.
What is the difference between weld neck and slip-on flanges?
Weld neck flanges are welded at the neck and provide superior strength for high-pressure and cyclic service. Slip-on flanges slide over the pipe and are fillet-welded — faster to fit but not as strong as weld neck.
What gasket do I need with a raised face flange?
Raised face flanges typically use a full-face or ring gasket. Spiral wound or ring-type joint gaskets are used on higher-pressure applications.
Are flanges supplied with bolts and gaskets?
Flanges are typically supplied individually — bolts, nuts, and gaskets are ordered separately based on service requirements.
