Made in the Fujigen factory from 2002-2008, the Epiphone Elite series (and later Elitist) were classic Gibson models authorised by Gibson that were manufactured in Japan and represent some of the finest Gibson-authorised models ever made. Built to exacting Japanese standards, this is a 2003 Les Paul Standard model and features all Gibson appointments such as USA pickups, a solid maple top, bone nut and Grover machine heads.

The mahogany neck is a classic slim taper profile with a high gloss finish reminiscent of that classic late 60s Les Paul feel. This neck is virtually unplayed and feels incredible in the hands. With virtually no wear at all, the frets are sitting at 99% with no pitting visible and a low profile with nice crowns intact. Grover tuners are factory loaded for smooth  and stable tuning as well as a nicely carved bone nut.

The Made in USA pickups are a classic Gibson set with a nice PAF-esque output for the neck pickup and a red hot bridge pickup reading over 13kOhms. The pickups are wax potted for reduced microphonics and excellent gain response; these pickups can be driven hard and will respond gusto, making them excellent for heavy rock, blues and plenty of jazz potentional from the nice and dark neck pickup.

Professionally serviced and setup with 10-46s, this Les Paul is playing like a dream with perfect action and intonation and a nice straight neck. 100% original and with no issues whatsoever, this is a perfect example for players and collectors alike. Only minor swirling and evidence of light playwear is visible on the finish. Comes with its original Epiphone branded purple lined hard case!
